IALFM Annual Fundraiser was held on  Saturday Jan 28th, 2012 at 7 pm.  Our honored Keynote Speaker was Dr Muzammil Siddiqui, along with inpirational speech from Imam Moujahid Bakhach.

A letter from the IALFM President, Mehmood Oomerjee:

Dear Respected Community Members:

As-salaam Wailaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakathuhu


I am writing today to say thank you for your support in making last Saturday’s annual fund-raiser a success.

The inspirational presentations from our local youth and performances by the Sunday school children were followed by wonderful speeches from our esteemed guests Dr. Muzzamil Siddiqui and Imam Bakhach. Alhum-dulillah, it was a wonderful evening.

I am grateful for the support of the many brothers, sisters, children and families who attended.  This show of support allowed us to continue with our mission of enhancing the many programs and services that make it a vibrant and special place we call our Masjid.

The Holy Qur’an says: “And be steadfast in your prayer and pay charity; whatever good you put forth for your future, you shall find it with Allah, for Allah is well aware of what you do, is seeing.” (2:110)

A special thank you to the fund-raising committee members, and many event volunteer who planned, organized, and put it in countless hours to make this a success evening.

We would like this to be the beginning of a continuing relationship, and so let me extend an invitation to you:

Please come visit the Masjid or join one of the many programs offered, the door is always open. You are also very much encourage, to become a part of various committee that we have to support the Masjid activities. Just stop by and it will be our privilege to show you around the Masjid, weekend school activities and introduce you to the great things that are happening here at Islamic Association of Lewisville and Flower Mound.

  • Why do we need a Multipurpose Hall?
    Answer: The Muslim community in North DFW (Denton County) is growing rapidly. We don’t have enough room for classes and community activities.
  • What are the phases of this project?
    Answer: The project will have 2 phases. First phase will consist of a Multipurpose Hall with a capacity to accommodate 500 people, 10 classrooms, offices and conference room. The second phase will be a larger prayer hall with a capacity of 1000 people.
  • What is the estimated budget for this phase?
    Answer: The project is estimated to cost over one million dollars. We are working with architects to work out detailed plans and cost estimates.
