Terms of Use

Effective October 30, 2026. IALFM’s own terms and conditions for using this website and receiving our communications.

Using this website

This website is provided by the Islamic Association of Lewisville and Flower Mound (IALFM). By using it you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement, or have a parent or guardian’s permission: if you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before donating or sending us information.

About the information here

We share prayer times, schedules, fees and program details in good faith and try to keep them current, but they can change. Please confirm important details with the masjid or the program contact. Content on this site is general information; for religious rulings or personal guidance, please speak with the Imam.

Donations

Donations, Zakat and Sadaqah are made on the IALFM portal, and payments are processed by Stripe. The portal’s terms of service and privacy policy apply there.

  • IALFM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID 75-2892048). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. IALFM provides no goods or services in exchange for a donation unless we tell you otherwise in writing. Please keep your receipt and ask your own tax adviser about your deduction.
  • Donations are voluntary. If you made an error (a wrong amount, a duplicate or an unauthorized charge), write to finance@ialfm.org within 30 days of the donation and IALFM will refund it. Otherwise donations are not refundable.
  • If you designate a gift for a campaign or fund, we will use it for that purpose. If the purpose has been met or can no longer be carried out, IALFM may use the gift for a similar purpose that serves the community. Undesignated gifts are used where IALFM’s Board decides they are needed most.
  • You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you give, and that the information you provide is accurate.
  • A recurring donation continues until you cancel it. You can cancel in the portal or by writing to finance@ialfm.org at least 10 days before the next gift, and by choosing it you authorize IALFM to charge the payment method you gave on each date.

Email, WhatsApp and text messages

By donating to IALFM, joining as a member, registering for a program or event, or signing up for our newsletter, and giving us your email address or mobile number, you agree that IALFM may contact you by email, by WhatsApp and by text message (SMS/MMS) about your donation, registration or membership and about IALFM’s programs, events, campaigns, fundraising and announcements.

  • Message frequency varies, and message and data rates from your carrier may apply. IALFM does not charge you for messages.
  • You may opt out at any time: use the unsubscribe link in an email, reply STOP to a text (or END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE), leave, mute or block IALFM in WhatsApp, or write to bod@ialfm.org. Reply HELP to a text for help.
  • Agreeing to WhatsApp or text messages is not a condition of donating or of using any IALFM service. We may still send receipts and notices about your own donation, registration or account.
  • WhatsApp is operated by Meta and is subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. Members of an IALFM WhatsApp group or community may see your name and number, as that group’s settings allow.
  • You agree that we may give you notices and records electronically, including by email, text, WhatsApp and on this website.
  • How we handle your details, including that we do not share your email address or phone number outside IALFM, is in the Privacy Policy.

Donors and members

Donors are not members. A donation does not make you a member of IALFM and does not give you voting or other membership rights. To become a member, you must submit a membership application through the IALFM portal and meet IALFM’s membership requirements.

What you send us

When you use a form on this site (contact, appointment request, dua request, job application), you confirm that what you send is accurate and that you have the right to send it, and you allow IALFM to use it to respond, to carry out your request and as described in the Privacy Policy. IALFM may decline, edit or decide not to publish any request, including dua requests. Sending a form does not create a counseling, religious or legal relationship.

Job applications

Applying for a position does not create an employment contract or promise of an interview or an offer. IALFM may keep or delete applications as it sees fit, and may fill or close a position at any time. Any employment is at-will unless a written agreement signed by IALFM says otherwise.

Our content

Text, photos, flyers and logos on this site belong to IALFM or are used with permission. You are welcome to share our announcements and content for non-commercial community purposes with credit to IALFM; please ask before using our name or logo in any other way. All other rights are reserved.

Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the site, including sending spam or abusive messages through the contact form.
  • Do not try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its accounts or its data, or interfere with how it works.
  • Do not use automated tools to copy the site or submit forms in bulk, or upload malicious files (including in a job application).
  • Do not impersonate anyone, or send information about another person without their permission.
  • Do not use the site for anything unlawful or against the values of the masjid.

No warranty and limits of liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IALFM and its directors, officers, staff and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you donated to IALFM in the past 12 months or $100. Some laws do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows.

Your responsibility

You agree to defend and hold harmless IALFM and its directors, officers, staff and volunteers from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

Changes, suspension and ending access

We may change the site, these terms or the Privacy Policy at any time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end anyone’s access, and remove content, at any time and without notice.

Law, disputes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a problem comes up, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute we cannot resolve will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and IALFM about this website, and you may not transfer your rights under them. Terms that by their nature should continue after you stop using the site (such as limits of liability and your responsibility) do. IALFM is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
