Financial Assistance
The Emergency Relief Fund gives temporary financial help to community members in a time of need, funded by Zakat, Sadaqah and Zakat al-Fitr.
About the Emergency Relief Fund
The Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) provides temporary emergency financial assistance to deserving members of our community in their crucial times of need. It is sustained by the Zakat, Sadaqah and Zakat al-Fitr (Fitra, during Ramadan) given by people in our community.
A committee of community volunteers runs the program, with an application and verification process that keeps to Islamic standards and local law, in line with other Islamic charities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
How to apply
- Fill in the online application — there is no paper form.
- Attach the supporting documents it asks for, especially your last three months of bank statements.
- The committee replies by email or phone within 3 to 5 business days.
