Qur’an School

Qur’an reading and recitation with tajweed for every level, from age 4–5 — at IALFM Masjid in Flower Mound or online.

About the Nazira program

The Qur’an School (Nazira program) teaches students to read and recite the Qur’an with tajweed, from complete beginners to advanced reciters. Tajweed is the set of rules for pronouncing the Qur’an the way it was recited in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The minimum age is 4 to 5 years. A teacher assesses each child first to see whether they are ready to begin, so the age alone does not guarantee a place.

Teachers: Sr. Asma Qureshi (online), Sr. Yasmeen Almasri (online), Sr. Farhana Tonni.

  • Ages: from 4–5 years, all levels
  • Where: online or at the masjid
  • Tuition: $75 / student / month

How classes work

  • Three classes a week, about 20 minutes each.
  • Online or on site at the masjid — the family chooses.
